Turning Leaves                           North Regional Library, Minneapolis, MN

Commissioned for the lobby of North Regional Library, Minneapolis, Turning Leaves are 7’ long leaves of walnut, cherry, and maple, carved into sculptural seats. 

Leaves turn in the breeze and fall at the end of a season, in preparation for a new season of growth.  These turning leaves thematically relate to the metamorphosis a reader achieves after turning the leaves of a book to grow in knowledge.
